Although this song has a distinctly rock drum beat and overall drive, like all the songs on my debut album it features string quartet instead of guitars. The strings are often distorted, as a rock guitar would be. The rest of the ensemble is made up of drums, electric bass, vocals, and some sparse piano. This ensemble, along with very chromatic harmonic progressions, and thickly layered vocal harmonies, give a unique sound to this rock song.
