This song is about someone facing difficulties and deciding to simply forget about them, or put them aside, for the day as a means of coping and to recede inward. The song moves through different shades of the same energy, as if the narrator is trying to convince himself of what he’s doing. By the end, the lyrics depict someone trying desperately to comfort themselves but unsure of how convincing they ultimately are.
