Winter’s Finale

by Ruth Smith

Genre: Instrumental

Rank: 29

Being warm and safe in our cozy log cabin high up on Snake Mountain in the Southern Appalachians during a blizzard is wonderful, but my favorite moment is when the winds die down and the sun hits the quiet, fresh blanket of sparkling white snow. That magic moment is what inspired me to write this piece and if you listen, you’ll hear the blizzard fade away and the new fresh day begin.
